A networking event for investors and entrepreneurs, occuring every few months.
There's certainly a lower attendance since the increases in entry fee, but some
influential people can be met. |
Second Chance Tuesday
|
| Open Rights Group |
A more serious group with a solid agenda, namely protecting your rights in the digital age. Their events consist primarily of regular 'Copyfighters Brunches', picnics (yes, really!) and occasional talks on the topics of importance, with industry speakers. These offer a more thoughtful approach on the traditionally social side of geek networking.
|
|
| Wiki Wednesday |
Held on the first Wednesday of each month for
people to get together and chat, learn about wikis, find jobs, talk deals and generally cavort.
Some events have featured speakers, some have a round robin of 5 minute talks, while some are unstructured. |

| Earls Court and Olympia |
The two exhibition centres at Earls Court and Olympia are open most days of the
year, with various trade and consumer shows. The trade shows are much better for talking to those involved in
the particular industries, although the majority of stall holders are salesmen. The consumer shows, such as the
Ideal Home, are expensive opportunities walk around a large shopping centre and be bombarded with advertising.

Current Exhibitions
|
| The Science Museum |
They have special exhibitions throughout the year, sometimes involving talks with industry luminaries. They
are quite expensive however, and there is often little social interaction with other patrons.
Currently the Game On exhibition is
showing, and likely to draw good crowds.
